Mick Jagger’s Band “Superheavy” Release Their New Album Today
SuperHeavy, the new all-star band featuring Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, soul singer Joss Stone, reggae singer Damian Marley and film composer A.R. Rahman, release their self-titled debut album today.
Jagger says Stewart came up with the idea for the project more than two years ago, telling him he wanted to make a record where Jagger wouldn’t have to “do everything… The idea is you would have people who specialize in different kinds of music, but it’s all popular music.”
The video for the album’s first single, “Miracle Worker,” shows people gathering for a street party that turns into a performance from Jagger and his bandmates.
