[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Roy Orbison[/lastfm] was appreciated before his sudden death in 1988 at age 52.  When I met him the year before backstage at the Celebrity Theatre, I found him to be the most down to earth big name I’d ever met.  I still think so today.  You’ll hear Roy‘s biggest hit on tonight’s Top 6 @ 6 when I feature songs  about Women, Ladies, and Girls (gee, which song of his could that include!!). During an interview with Dallas radio legend Ron Chapman, Roy talked about  artists that weren’t appreciated during their lifetime – and why.
