The nominations for the 63rd Annual Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are out.
Melissa McCarthy of “Mike & Molly” and Joshua Jackson of “Fringe” joined Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman and CEO, John Shaffner in announcing the nominees this morning.
It was a pleasant wake up call for Melissa McCarthy who picked up a nomination in the category for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
AMC’s “Mad Men,” which has won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama for the past three years, is once again among the nominees in the category. It’s up against “Boardwalk Empire,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Game Of Thrones,” “Dexter” and “The Good Wife.”
The nominees for Outstanding Comedy Series include “The Big Bang Theory,” “Glee,” “Modern Family,” “The Office,” “Parks & Recreation” and “30 Rock.”
The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented during a star-studded ceremony on Sunday, September 18th. Hosted by “Glee” star Jane Lynch, Fox will air the awards live coast to coast from the NOKIA Theatre L.A.
