After 41 years, ABC will be put its daytime soap opera “All My Children” to bed on Sept. 23.
For fans hoping that this is just a bad dream (or some kind of temporary coma), the alphabet network revealed Thursday that its “AMC” replacement, the brand new food and lifestyles series “The Chew,” will debut in its 1 p.m. time slot on Sept. 26.
But fear not, fans, ABC said that “out of love and respect for the show” a plethora of beloved actors will return to Pine Valley for these final episodes, including Josh Duhamel (Leo Du Pres), Eva La Rue (Maria Santos), Carol Burnett (Verla Grubbs) and many others.
ABC made its original announcement to shutter production on “AMC” and “One Life to Live” in April. “One Life to Live” is scheduled to bow out in February.
