The Phoenix Suns will tip-off their Operation Orange campaign by hosting a day with the Suns at Wet ‘n’ Wild water park on TODAY. The first 200 guests to arrive at the Phoenix Suns tent, in front the water park, will receive free admission.
In celebration of the launch of Operation Orange, the Phoenix Suns and Wet ‘n’ Wild are opening the park at 9 a.m., tipping off the event an hour early for all valued Suns fans. Additional guests who use the password “Orange” at the ticket office will also receive early park admission and a discounted ticket price of $19.68 each, in honor of the Phoenix Suns inaugural year 1968.
The Gorilla, Suns Dancers and APS Solar Squad will be in attendance throughout the event. Guests will have an opportunity to meet, get autographs, and even ride down the slides with some of their favorite Suns entertainers. Suns and Mercury giveaways will also be distributed throughout the day. The Phoenix Suns will be at the water park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the park will remain open until 6 p.m.
The Operation Orange campaign will blitz the Valley with orange as the Phoenix Suns partner with community programs, host neighborhood visits and arena events for fans to share in the excitement of the Suns. Fans will be invited to take advantage of unique opportunities at US Airways Center including “Free Throw Fridays” and basketball pickup games. They are also encouraged to log onto suns.com/orange to register to have Operation Orange come to their neighborhood. The travelling Suns extravaganza will feature games, contests and entertainment.
The Operation Orange campaign begins with the launch party at Wet ‘n Wild water park on June 28 and will continue into the beginning of the 2011-2012 season. The new outreach campaign is an opportunity for fans to interact with the Phoenix Suns and the community through family-friendly events, activities, social media campaigns and charitable causes.
