[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] would most-likely prefer to be called “Sir” than “Mr. Vegas.” Plus, I doubt [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wayne Newton[/lastfm] would be pleased with the name change. But, the point is, Paul WILL do a show in Las Vegas this June!

Paul McCartney has lined up his first North American gig of 2011: June 10 at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas.
The Beatles’ alum is carrying on with his sporadic “Up and Coming Tour,” which played to more than one million fans over 30-plus dates in 2010. Rather than announce his itinerary far in advance last year, he announced his dates piecemeal. It appears he’ll be repeating that successful strategy this year.
On the tour, McCartney’s shows have generally clocked in at about three hours and featured songs spanning his entire career, touching on The Beatles, Wings and solo material, as well as The Fireman’s “Electric Arguments” album.
McCartney’s only other currently confirmed dates for the year are three shows that are scheduled to take place in South America in May.
