It’s A Brand New Car(s)!

move like this the cars Its A Brand New Car(s)!

I always loved [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Cars[/lastfm].  They had such a unique sound when they debuted in the 70’s.  Guess what?  They STILL got it!  Their first new album in 24 years, “Move Like This” will be released May 10th.  And, yes…there’s a tour :-)

All four of the surviving original members ([lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ric Ocasek[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Greg Hawkes[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elliot Easton[/lastfm] & [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]David Robinson[/lastfm]) are on-board!  Sadly, we lost [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Benjamin Orr[/lastfm] to pancreatic cancer in 2000.  There IS a supporting tour.  But, it will NOT hit Phoenix this time around.  It kicks off May 10th in Seattle and runs for 10 dates before wrapping up in the band’s hometown on May 26th.  Here are the dates:

  • 5/10 – Seattle, WA – Showbox SoDo
  • 5/12 – Los Angeles, CA – Palladium
  • 5/13 – Oakland, CA – Fox Theater
  • 5/15 – Denver, CO – The Fillmore
  • 5/17 – Minneapolis, MN – First Avenue
  • 5/18 – Chicago, IL – Riviera Theatre
  • 5/20 – Toronto, ON – Sound Academy
  • 5/23 – Washington, DC – 9:30 Club
  • 5/25 – New York, NY – Roseland Ballroom
  • 5/26 – Boston, MA – House of Blues
