Is This Called “Catapotting?”
Say what you will about drug smugglers. Sure, we hate them. But, they sure are creative! They’ll find ANY way possible to get their goods across the border from Mexico. That includes using tools so old they were actually mentioned in the Bible!

Drugs via Catapult? The idea of using a medieval device to overcome the high-tech fence between the United States and Mexico is too improbable for even a most outlandish Hollywood thriller.
Yet that is exactly what the National Guard discovered in Arizona while operating a remote video surveillance system last Friday evening.
The black and white video captured Drug Smugglers loading a medieval-looking contraption and launching packages over the border fence.
KVOA in Tucson reported that Border Patrol agents at the Naco border station, about 80 miles southeast of Tucson, working with the National Guard, contacted Mexican authorities, who went to the location and disrupted the catapult operation.
The 3 yard tall mobile catapult was just 20 miles from the U.S. border. Smugglers would move it on a flatbed towed by a sport utility vehicle, according to a Mexican army officer with the 45th military zone in the border state of Sonora.
The catapult was capable of launching 4.4 pounds of marijuana at a time, the officer said Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity for security reasons.
Soldiers seized 35 pounds of marijuana, the vehicle and the catapult device, the officer said. The smugglers left the area before they could be captured.
