Thanks to the magic of the internet, you can hear the Valley’s Greatest Hits ANYWHERE in America! Rita always keeps it KOOL in Shelton, CT. According to the e-mail she sent today at JeffreyT@KOOLradio.com, it’s a bit TOO KOOL!
Hi Jeffrey,
You were talking earlier about the cold weather at this end of the country. Well, let me tell you, it’s seriously cold out here! It was -2° F when I woke up at 6:00 this morning; when I left for work at 7:00, it was up to a whopping +1°. Made me actually consider leaving my scarf and mittens at home. Good thing I reconsidered.
It was so cold when I left the house that I blinked and my eyelids froze shut. When I finally got them pried open, I saw three dogs across the street frozen to fire hydrants! What’s worse, when I opened the car door, I realized the air inside had frozen solid and there was no room for me to get in. Took me nearly 20 minutes to thaw it with a hand-held hair dryer! It would’ve taken longer, but I was able to get the sunroof open and as the air warmed, it escaped through the sunroof.
It would really help me out psychologically (and trick my poor little brain into thinking it’s warm) if you could play “Summer” from War.
Rita, I’ll be MORE than happy to play “Summer” during the All-Request KOOL Cafe today! I’ll also have passes for the exclusive 3D screening of “Gnomeo & Juliet” to give away. If you decide to escape the tundra of Connecticut, let’s go to the theatre! Thanks SO much for keepin’ it KOOL
