I will be at Sanderson Ford at 8am tomorrow morning to be a part of their 11 Day Veterans Day display and Salute to our Heroes.

Yes, they are in the final days of their “One Hail of a Sale, and yes, you can save a bundle, BUT,  all the focus from now until Saturday the 13th is on honoring our Veterans.

This includes a 28 mile walk from Sanderson Ford to the Veterans National Cemetery in Cave Creek!  Check out the full schedule of events. Please find time to stop by Sanderson Ford between now and November 13th, for a very moving display as we honor America’s Heroes.


This Saturday, November 6th, we cordially request your presence to pay respect and remembrance to MOH Silvestre S. Herrera and all who have served and for those who continue to serve our Great Country. The program will begin at 9am at Sanderson Ford, 6400 N 51st Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301.
Activities and program include Mass Color Guards, Colors by Horseback, Medal Of Honor Exhibition ,POW/MIA Exhibition, Enduring Freedom Memorial, Phoenix Submarine 107 Exhibition, Police-Fire-EMT 911 Memorial, Car Show and much more.

*10am March Of Heroes -From Sanderson Ford to Veterans National Cemetery Cave Creek, Arizona. Two lines will form – The Medal Of Honor Recipients will pass the American Flag and The  POW’s will pass the POW/MIA Flag. When the two flags get to the end of the line those last two people will start walking the 28.6 miles to the Veterans National Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona. Along the route they will keep passing the Flags. Where they will then be posted until Wednesday November 10th.

*6pm Phoenix JC’s to bring in the colors on Horseback at Waddells

Tuesday Nov. 9th 10am
*Location Sanderson Ford 51st Ave. & Maryland-Glendale
*9:30 Police & Fire Escort -200 Kids Palo Verde Middle School to Sanderson Ford “FUTURE HEROES DAY”
*10am Colors by Horseback Phoenix
*National Anthem,Pledge,Prayer,Special Guests (MOH,POW’s,Police,Fire,EMT’s) etc..
*Students,Families,Special Guests VIEW THE EXHIBITION
*Students & Superintendent to place a Red Carnation in the Prayer Pond “ENDURING FREEDOM MEMORIAL”. Then on the closing ceremonies Saturday November 13th the carnations will be gathered and then placed in a POW/MIA chest .  May of 2011 they will travel across country with “RUN FOR THE WALL” were they will then be placed at the APEX of THE VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL “THE WALL”, in Washington D.C. on MEMORIAL DAY.

Wednesday Nov.10th 7am
*Location: Sanderson Ford 51st Ave. & Maryland-Glendale
*Police escort to Veterans National Cemetery to retrieve Flags – Medal of Honor Recipients & POW’s ONLY.
*8am From Sanderson Ford With the retrieved Flags – escort to West Rest Haven Cemetery 63rd Ave. Northern. The Flags to be posted after a chapel & Gravesite Ceremony of MOH Silivestre S. Herrera to Honor all of our Heroes. The two Flags will stay posted until 8am November 11th where they will lead out the Medal of Honor Float. The two Flags posted will have a guard with them at all times (24 hours). People are now signing up to stand, even if its only 5-10 minutes. Silvestre’s grandson back from Iraq has signed up from 11:30 to 12 midnight. All are welcome to show there support, thanks and prayers.
