WAR: A Problem With Pepsi?
TMZ reported late yesterday that War had filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court over the use of their song “Why Can’t We Be Friends” in a Pepsi Max commercial.
The story, noting how the band “did not consent to the use of their performance,” said they were seeking $10 million in damages.
But the picture was less clear from the supposedly aggravated party. A source close to the band told us late yesterday this was the first they’d heard of the suit. Stay tuned.
