Fans of the [lastfm]Beatles[/lastfm] are NONE too pleased with [lastfm]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Sean Lennon[/lastfm]. WHY? Well, it involves a photo that Sean posted on Twitter. It shows Lady Gaga “defiling the memory of [lastfm]John Lennon[/lastfm].” (Those are the words of some die-hard fans, not me.) Are you wondering what this could possibly be? I’ve got the photo – and the story. Click more.
All the controversy was sparked by John Lennon’s son Sean allowing Lady Gaga to play John’s infamous white Steinway piano. She was sitting on the bench, wearing one of her trademark skimpy outfits. That’s when Sean snapped this pic and posted it on Twitter with the caption, “With Gaga at mom’s house, she’s belting on the white piano.”
Open the floodgates! Let the hate Tweets begin! It got so intense that Sean eventually took the picture down. Of course, by then, the whole world had it on their hard drive.
Since, Sean’s been trying to diffuse the bomb, saying, “Pianos are meant to be played. Why is everyone so uptight? What should we do, lock it away in a dusty room? So judgmental. Firstly, [John] gave that piano to my mother for her birthday. It is hers. Secondly, he was not uptight the way you seem to be. Come on, lighten up! Life’s too short, there are enough real problems in the world.”
