First of all, there’s a great one TONIGHT in downtown Mesa during the Arizona Celebration of Freedom.  But if you’re looking for a show to see tomorrow, thanks to the Arizona Republic, here’s a list of what’s going on in the Valley on the 4th of July…

July 4

All American Festival: 5-10 p.m. In addition to a large-scale fireworks show, see live rock-and-roll and country music, and an all-star baseball game. Get soaked in the Water Zone. Chandler 4th of July 7Up Fireworks Spectacular: 4-10:30 p.m. July 4. Celebrate with a free kids carnival, water-balloon wars, dunk tank, 24-foot rock-climbing wall, 35-foot water slide, assorted games and a peddle-bike parade. Live music is played throughout the night from bands such as White as Wool and Madison Heights. Fireworks display at dark. Free admission, $5 parking. Tumbleweed Park, 2250 S. Family Fun: 6-9:30 p.m. Celebrate with this family event featuring inflatables, water games, bean-bag toss, prize ponds, a dunk tank and a wagon and tricycle float contest. Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix Fourth: 6-9:30 p.m. Phoenix’s 25th Annual Fourth of July event at Steele Indian School Park has entertainment on three stages, a Kids World area with inflatable rides and other activities, a classic car exhibit and fireworks. Celebration: 7 p.m. Celebrate with an evening filled with activities, including a performance by the Cave Creek Cowboy Crew and an outdoor fireworks display. “A Star Spangled Shootout”: 5:30-11 p.m. Celebrate Western-style with cowboys, gunfights and food, along with live music throughout town. Tempe Town Lake Festival: 4 p.m. This celebration includes Fantastic Family Fest, an inflatable village with rock climbing walls, face painting, relay races, rides and entertainment for kids. Cool off with water and games at the Splash Playground. Purchase hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, roasted corn, snow cones, ice cream, lemonade and bottled water. An honor guard presentation is held from 7 to 7:30 p.m., and the winner of the Star Spangled Idol competition sings the National Anthem. Live bands perform pop, rock and country music on the Main Stage from 4:30 to 11 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs for seats on the lawn for the fireworks show set to patriotic and classical music. Tickets available at city of Tempe locations for $5, online and at Fry’s Food Stores for $6. VIP options include dinner from Skye Restaurant, two drink tickets and seats in a misted location for the fireworks show. Pool Party: 5-8:30 p.m. Open to the first 400 Surprise residents, this family event includes games, activities, popcorn and a poolside view of the city’s annual fireworks display. Baseball and Fireworks: 4:30-8:30 p.m. Watch a Rookie League baseball game between the Kansas City Royals and the San Diego Padres at 5:30 p.m. A fireworks show set to patriotic music is held after the game at about 8:30 p.m. Concessions such as peanuts, popcorn, ice pops, hot dogs and Coke are available for purchase. Tickets required. Early ticket pickup available at the Surprise Community & Recreation Services Office, 15960 N. The All-American Barbecue: 4 p.m. Each person receives one free hot dog. Barbecue food is available for purchase, and drink specials are offered. The folky-funk rock band Delcoa performs. From 9 to 10 p.m., see fireworks around the Valley from the patios atop the hill. Pets welcome. First-come, first-served. Free admission; food and drink prices vary. Wrigley Mansion, 2501 E. Fireworks Celebration and Variety Show: 5 p.m. Take the family to this event featuring a variety show with entertainment appropriate for kids. Barbecue is available for purchase. Grab a spot on the grass on the “green belt” for a fireworks show that begins at about 9 p.m. Free. Living Word Bible Church, 3520 E. Brown Road, Mesa. 480-964-4463. www.livingwordonline.org.

City of Tolleson Celebration: 5-10 p.m. Slip and slide down a 40-foot inflatable slide and see an F-16 flyover from Luke Air Force Base at 7 p.m. A fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. Free parking and shuttle service are provided from 91st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
