Another weekend is upon us. Gotta take advantage of those 2 days off SOMEHOW! I’m still pushing for a 2 day workweek and 5 day weekend. Though, I don’t seem to be making any headway. It’s supposed to be around 90 this weekend. Here are three ways to enjoy the temps:

This Grammy-winning jazz guitarist topped the album charts with 1976’s “Breezin’,” a triple-platinum gem whose breakthrough moment was the Top 10 smash, “This Masquerade.” His hits include three other Top 10 triumphs – “On Broadway,” “Give Me the Night” and “Turn Your Love Around.”

Arizona’s Irish Cultural Center pays tribute to the Bloomsday, which honors writer James Joyce’s novel “Ulysses.” The center’s Bloomin’ Beerfest won’t be quite as rowdy as celebrations in Dublin, Ireland, but participants will get to enjoy a mini bar crawl in the courtyard with several local craft breweries. Two Irish bands will perform and lovers of Joyce’s novel will perform readings from “Ulysses.”

Let’s hear it for the boy! This musical was adapted from the 1984 movie starring Kevin Bacon as a teen with happy feet and John Lithgow as a tyrannical small-town preacher. Arizona Broadway Theatre is serving up its version before Hollywood adapts the adaptation back into a movie next year.
